Beginning Rock Guitar.  Designed for 1 hour per week for 12 weeks.  May be modified at student’s request.  At the course’s end, student will be able to play the most versatile and commonly used rock progressions and the 12 bar blues in all 5 of the “guitar keys”.  By using the progression approach, student will gain the ability to play or pick out a good 90% of all pop, country, and rock and roll songs ever written, and will be comfortable modifying the key of a given song to fit a singer's voice.  Student will choose a few of his/ her favorite songs to workshop and apply these skills to.  Student will be comfortable tuning the guitar, strumming and changing chords, and will also get a preview of power chords, fingerpicking, and TAB (tablature).

Intermediate Rock Guitar.  (Coming Soon.)  Course picks up where Beginning Course leaves off.  We delve into the same topics only deeper. Using standard pop and rock progressions, student learns chord embellishments and substitutions and becomes more adept at fingerpicking, different strumming styles, playing power chords, reading TAB (tablature), and reading lead sheets.
